Webster University Leiden Gains Dutch Government Approval

28 Apr 2008

Webster University Worldwide, the only accredited American university in the Netherlands offering both an undergraduate and a graduate program, announced today that Education, Culture and Science Minister Plasterk has granted Webster University Leiden government approval as an Institution of Higher Education according to the Dutch Higher Education Act as of 26-02-2008.

The government decision to approve Webster Leiden is based on a positive recommendation from the Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatie Organisatie (Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organization or NVAO) with regard to the Bachelor program International Business & Management Studies that Webster Leiden will be starting in the upcoming academic year. This program is based on the internationally oriented Business & Management program the university has been successfully offering at Leiden for over 20 years. Students who graduate in this program will receive a dual degree, with both a Dutch higher education diploma and an American Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science university degree.
