Call for proposals, Indonesian Challenges Exploration Grants

The Scientific Programme Indonesia – Netherlands (SPIN) is a programme for bilateral scientific research cooperation between Indonesia and the Netherlands, executed by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW).
The SPIN Programme Committee invites postdoc researchers at Dutch universities or research institutions to submit proposals for a once-only subsidy for unconventional, creative and/or innovative research plans in Indonesia addressing one of the following scientific topics:
1) Green Commodities, Sustainable Energy and Water Research
2) Infectious Diseases and Health
3) Socioeconomic Development
The objective of this once-only SPIN subsidy is:
To allow scientific exploration of unorthodox thinking and innovative ideas in addressing topical scientific and societal challenges in Indonesia.
The KNAW has earmarked € 300,000 for three Dutch postdoc researchers to spend one year each on an explorative scientific project addressing Indonesian challenges that is responsive to the topics mentioned above.
