When preparing your stay in Holland, make sure you will be properly insured during your stay. There are certain rules concerning your healthcare insurance which you have to comply with. It is also highly advisable to take out a liability insurance.

From our experience we know that it is not always easy for foreign visitors to the Netherlands to judge if they need health insurance in order to qualify for a visa or residence permit.

There are several insurances which are useful for you to have during your stay in the Netherlands. We particularly recommend you take out a liability insurance.

Healthcare allowance

If you are obliged to take out a Dutch public healthcare insurance (zorgverzekering) you can apply for a financial contribution for the insurance costs.
